ISTANBUL: Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said on Tuesday Turkey would face annual additional costs of $3 billion if global oil prices stay at their current levels.
Yildiz, who was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an energy conference, did not specify where the additional costs would appear.
Turkey imports more than 90 percent of the oil and natural gas it uses, swelling its current account deficit that stands at about 7 percent of gross domestic product. (Reuters)
