Intertec felicitates winner of grey market awareness online contest

Doha: Intertec Qatar, the sole distributor of Samsung mobiles and tablets, announced its first winner of Grey Market Awareness Campaign. 
Prize for the online contest, a Galaxy K-Zoom, was presented to Yassar Mullantakath at Intertec Samsung Dar Al Salam Mall kiosk.
The campaign has been launched to create awareness about grey market issues and generate a genuine buying culture.
It focuses on five major issues which would affect customers the most while purchasing Samsung mobiles and tablets from the grey market. The six-month campaign offers exciting gifts to Facebook Page fans every month.
“We are very happy to get such a delightful response for our campaign. While interacting with our fans online every day, we have realised there are plenty of customers who fall into grey market trap. 
“Slight discount on prize and false shop warranty encourage customers to get grey market products without realising the huge risk. Once any delinquent happens, they can’t even take a legitimate action about it since the products have not come through authorised Samsung dealer,” said George Thomas, CFO, Intertec Group.
“It is hard to stop the unauthorised product coming into the country. The only measure we can take is to make customers aware,” said Vikas Pachananda, Manager, Trading Mobiles.
“When you buy Samsung mobiles or tablets, make sure it has come through Intertec, the sole distributor of genuine Samsung products in Qatar,” said  Harsha Mangalpadi, Manager, Trading Tablets & IT.
Rima Abdul Khalek, Manager, Retail Sales, Nilabh Singh, Manager, Key Accounts, Midhun Joseph, Assistant Manager,  Marketing, Samsung kiosk crew and mall representatives were present during the function.
