Doha, Qatar: Ideal Indian School celebrated Teachers’ Day to pay tribute to the invaluable role of teachers in imparting knowledge, nurturing values and shaping the future of students. The day, observed on 5th September every year, is dedicated to the memory of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, a distinguished educationist, philosopher and former President of India.

The campus wore a festive look as students arrived in casual attire. They warmly greeted their teachers at the school entrance, presenting them with badges and chocolates as tokens of affection and respect.

Various fun-filled activities and cultural programmes were organized in all sections, both in the morning and evening sessions, with enthusiastic student participation. Taking charge of the day, the students organized a diverse range of entertainment and appreciation events in honour of their teachers.

Later in the evening, the school organised a special event to commemorate Teachers’ Day. Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P., President of IIS, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, the President highlighted the indispensable role of teachers in the age of digitalization, stressing that while artificial intelligence continues to advance at an unprecedented pace, it often lacks the depth of human emotions.

He emphasized that teachers, with their empathy, wisdom and ability to nurture values, remain irreplaceable in shaping future generations.

Speaking on the occasion Shaik Shamim Saheb, Principal of IIS, emphasised the noble responsibility of teachers, reminding them of their crucial role in shaping both the academic progress and the ethical and societal development of their students.

Teachers who played a key role in achieving high levels of academic excellence in the CBSE 10th and 12th Class examinations were honored with Merit Certificates. Teachers received Excellence Certificates in recognition of their exceptional dedication, commitment and remarkable contributions to the field of education. Teachers from various sections presented a captivating array of cultural presentations that enthralled the audience. Sharon and Nashwa compered the programme.
