Two police officers were shot early on Thursday in southwestern Pennsylvania where police were searching for the shooter, local media reported. 

The officers were wounded at about 4 a.m. local time in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, about 25 miles (40 km) southwest of Pittsburgh, according to WPXI.com.
