VODAFONE has been named by Gartner as a worldwide Leader in the Magic Quadrant for Managed Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Services, Worldwide for the third consecutive year.
It is positioned highest for “ability to execute” and furthest to the right for “completeness of vision”.
“We believe Gartner’s positioning of Vodafone in the “Leaders” quadrant for the third consecutive year truly validates our unrivalled worldwide capabilities in IoT (Internet of Things),” said Vodafone’s IoT director, Ivo Rook.
“We will continue to invest in our IoT capabilities to ensure our customers get the maximum benefit from the Internet of Things simply and easily.” he added.
Businesses around the world are rapidly exploring the opportunities of IoT technology with 76 percent saying that IoT will be critical for future success and 48 percent using IoT to support large-scale business transformation according to the latest Vodafone IoT Barometer. “Our focus is to continue to build on Vodafone’s leadership position through the enhancement of our core offering by, for example, launching NB-IoT to connect things that were previously less viable to connect. We are encouraging innovation and continually explore new services beyond connectivity alone, to help our customers improve their efficiency, increase revenues and develop new business models,” said Rook.
Vodafone’s Global IoT Platform was launched in Qatar in March 2016 as part of the Company’s strategic direction to bring all that’s innovative to Qatar and in turn help realise the Qatar National Vision 2030.
