Doha: As part of efforts to strengthen cultural relations, foster civilizational exchange, and introduce the tolerant values of Islam, the Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs organised an introductory visit for First Lady of Hungary H E Zsuzsanna Nagy and her accompanying delegation to the Imam Muhammad bin Abdulwahhab Mosque.

During the visit, the First Lady learned about the mosque’s distinctive architectural features and gained insight into the spiritual aspects of Muslim life within the mosque, including the importance of performing prayers in an atmosphere that reflects the values of moderation and compassion in Islam.

The delegation also enjoyed a unique experience through the virtual reality (VR) presentation of the film “Journey to Makkah”, which offered a vivid depiction of human rights in the Arabian Peninsula before and after the Prophetic mission.

The guest expressed her admiration for the spirit of tolerance and coexistence embodied by the mosque, affirming that such visits play an important role in building bridges of understanding between nations and cultures.

Dr. Saleh bin Ali Al-Marri, Director of the Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center, stated: “We are always pleased to welcome visiting delegations from around the world. These visits provide valuable opportunities to promote intercultural dialogue and highlight the Islamic principles of tolerance and coexistence.

“The virtual reality experience we offer aims to introduce visitors to the profound human transformation brought about by the message of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the field of human rights, while harnessing modern technology to serve culture and civilizational communication.”

At the conclusion of the visit, the Center presented the esteemed guest with a personalized Arabic calligraphy artwork created by Ubaida Al-Banki, the calligrapher of the Qatar Mus’haf.
