DOHA: Qatar Airways has announced flights to Larnaca International Airport in Cyprus starting April 29 next year.
The new route, which will fly four times a week to Larnaca, will be operated by an Airbus A320 in a two-class configuration with 12 seats in Business Class and 132 in Economy Class.
Known for its waterfronts, scenic vistas and stunning beaches, Larnaca is on Cyprus’ southernmost coast and the third largest city in the country. The airport on the edge of the city provides central access to all amenities.
Larnaca will be the airline’s first route to Cyprus, a popular holiday destination.
Attractions in Larnaca include the ancient city of Kition, Larnaca Fort, Hala Sultan Tekke (Grand Mosque), Church of Saint Lazarus, Europe Square and Larnaca Salt Lake.
The airline said in a statement: “Larnaca is a destination to which Qatar Airways is pleased to be providing regular scheduled service. We are continuously striving to provide customers with more options of unique destinations to visit, and the Mediterranean city of Larnaca is a welcomed new addition to the airline’s route map.” The Doha-Larnaca schedules are as follow:
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays: Departs Doha QR265 at 0810 hrs, arrives in Larnaca at 1200 hrs. Departs Larnaca QR266 at 1410 hrs and arrives in Doha at 1745 hrs.
