Doha, Qatar: Skywatchers in Qatar will be able to spot the International Space Station (ISS) as it will be visible to the naked eye today, January 11, 2026.

The Qatar Calendar House, in a social media post, said, "Tonight, Sunday evening, residents of the State of Qatar will be able to see the International Space Station (ISS) with the naked eye."

It added that Qatar falls along the ISS flight path and the station will appear from the southwest horizon at 5:24pm, moving across the sky before disappearing in the northeast direction at 5:30pm.

The ISS will be visible over Qatar skies for approximately six minutes, it said.

The ISS appears as a bright, fast-moving light, similar to an aircraft, but brighter and without the flashing light.

The space station can be easily tracked using apps such as NASA’s Spot the Station and the ISS Detector (available on Android and iOS), which offer real-time tracking, flyover schedules and alerts.
