Attiyah leaves for Tokyo forum on Qatari projects

Doha: The Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority, H E Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, left Doha yesterday for Tokyo to take part in the Qatari Infrastructure Projects in Japan Forum which will start tomorrow. A high-level official delegation is accompanying Al Attiyah. The forum aims to develop bilateral relations in various fields. A similar forum was organised in Doha last year and received considerable attention by businessmen from  both sides.

Medical camp for Syrian refugees

 

Doha: Qatar conducted a medical camp for the treatment of wounded and sick Syrian people. An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Qatar News Agency that the initiative comes as part of a series of humanitarian and relief efforts  by Qatar to alleviate suffering of the Syrian people.

This campaign, which headed to Turkish territory, and will be run in coordination between the Qatari and the Turkish Red Crescent associations, includes medical teams of different specialities and large shipments of medicines, medical supplies and surgical requirements, according to the source.

MoI official’s talk on Urdu radio

 

Doha: As part of cooperation between the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and Qatar Radio Corporation to raise security and safety awareness among the speakers of Urdu language, the Urdu radio 107 FM will host Lieutenant Abdullah Dhamin Al Muhannadi from the Criminal Information Department today from 8pm until 9pm. 

He will talk about different kinds of crimes committed by expatriates and preventive measures that should be taken as participation in the security maintainance process in the country. Lieutenant Al Muhannadi will also talk about crime scene preservation methods which should be used by witnesses. 

MoI will offer cash prizes for three winners of a quiz programme that will be held after the talk. 

The quiz, based on the points discussed during the talk, will be conducted by the programme presenter, Obeid Tahir, from 8.30pm and the public is urged to listen to the programme and participate in the quiz by contacting the studio on 44894440, 44894503.
