DOHA: International Bank of Qatar (ibq) yesterday announced its gold sponsorship of the upcoming Qatar Career Fair 2013 which will be held at the Qatar National Convention Centre in the first week of April.
The ibq pavilion will be operated by a team of company professionals whose responsibility will be to provide sound, real-life advice and recommendations to Qatari nationals looking to build bright careers in the banking and finance industry. The team will also discuss opportunities for professional growth within ibq with visitors and promote the bank’s customised in-house learning and development programmes.

ibq has continuously been at the forefront of Qatarisation initiatives through its ongoing Qatari Development Programme which has been running for over five years and has seen scores of academic scholarships granted to Qatari students.
In 2012, ibq put together a tailor-made workshop, ITQAN, a leadership initiative which consolidated the importance the bank places on providing training and development opportunities for Qatari nationals.
