Doha: Under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning H E Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Khalifa Al Thani inaugurated the new headquarters of the ministry’s Building Licences Complex.
The opening was attended by the Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohamed bin Saleh Al Sada, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology H E Dr Hessa Sultan Al Jaber, CEO of Ooredoo, Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani, Chairman of the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), Engineer Nasser Ali Al Mawlawi, CEO of Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail), Engineer Saad Ahmed Ibrahim Al Hassan, board chairman of Kahramaa, Engineer Issa bin Hilal Al Kuwari, and Mohamed Khalifa Turki Al Subaie, Deputy Board Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Fuel (Woqod) Company.
On the sidelines, the Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning said, “We are here to open the complex after making changes to launch e-building licences service”.
The initiative will speed up the presentation of files, opening process and issuing building licences via the ministry, he said, adding it will contribute to facilitating measures for owners and consultants to cut time-limit for projects of each department.
The programme will also help implement procedures and issuance of licences in three to seven days, he said, adding results will be made public.
