DOHA: Employees of Dar Al Sharq celebrated National Sport Day with several activities.
The event was organised at CEO Abdulatif bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud’s ranch in Umm Amberiah. Jaber Al Harami, Deputy CEO and Editor-in-Chief, Al Sharq, and Khaled Al Jaber, Acting Editor-in-Chief, The Peninsula were present.
Staff took part in football, volleyball, table tennis and shooting contests and a tug-of-war.
Prizes were presented to the winning teams and employees who excelled in different sports were honoured.
Football matches were played between teams from The Peninsula, Al Sharq editorial A and B, Kwik Kopy, Administration and Advertising. The advertising team won the prize.
Atif Ghanam won the prize for table tennis.
