The Qatar Football Association (QFA), the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) and the Qatar Stars League (QSL) organised various events for their staff members and their families to promote and encourage healthy living on National Sport Day yesterday. A large football festival was organised at Aspire with a day packed full of events, activities, health checks and healthy eating. Ladies enjoyed private facilities to enjoy classes in yoga, zumba, pilates and many more tutor-led sessions, while the men played in a five-a-side football tournament which was made up of 12 teams. Kids and families also enjoyed some amazing events.QFA President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani said: “By celebrating National Sport Day we are setting an example for the region and the world in promoting sports and encouraging the community to practice it throughout the year, sports isn’t only a one day celebration it is a lifestyle that we should adapt in order to have a healthy and productive community, especially here in Qatar where we have a relatively young population.”
