Doha, Cdr (Rtd) Purnendu Tiwari, the winner of "Pravasi Bharathiya Samman 2019" from the Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, was facilitated by Petro-Q Group during the last week.
Cdr Tiwari, a veteran who served the Indian Navy for couple of decades, was one among the 30 awardees of the prestigious award, which is the highest honour conferred on overseas Indians by the government of India.
His contributions towards the capacity building for the Qatar Navy has entitled him for this prestigious recognition. He is the only one from Qatar to be selected for this award.
On this occasion Dr Rony Paul Thekkanath, the CEO of PETRO-Q group remarked that Cdr Tiwari is a true inspiration to the society and a model for youngsters to follow. It is his determination to enrich the society in a positive direction that earned him this accolade
