Protesters storm home minister’s house

New Delhi: Thirteen police officer were suspended after protesters barged into the residence of Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde here last evening, police said.

“At least 13 police officers have been suspended for dereliction of duty,” police said.

Around 200 Jat protesters gathered outside Shinde’s bungalow No 2 at Krishna Menon Marg around 4.30pm and raised slogans for reservations.

“About three to four protesters barged into the minister’s house. They also damaged the front gate,” said a police officer.

The protesters fled when police arrived. Over 50 police personnel have been deputed at the spot.

Police detained some protestors for breach of security. IANS
