Pakistan, US discuss ways to boost fiscal ties

Islamabad: Finance Minister of Pakistan Senator Ishaq Dar, who is presently on a visit to the United States, attended a meeting of Economic Working Group under Pakistan-US Strategic Dialogue.
During the meeting, he discussed with US officials issues pertaining enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries, according to Radio of Pakistan.
Ishaq Dar also had a meeting with Deputy Secretary of State William J Burns and discussed strengthening of bilateral trade and economic relations.
11 shot dead at wedding party  
Islamabad: Opponents opened fire at a festive house amid wedding, killing 11 people, including women, in northern Pakistan last night, Dunya News reported.
The incident took place at Tehsil Hawelian of Abbottabad.
The incident took place at a wedding ceremony when opponents opened firing indiscriminately over longstanding dispute that caused a chaos at the event. The casualties include three women and two children.
The incident also left as many as fourteen people injured who were rushed to Ayub Medical Complex and District Headquarters Hospital. 
Politician killed in Karachi 
Islamabad: Bearer of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawyers’ forum has been killed in another incident of firing in Gulshan e Iqbal area of the metropolis yesterday, increasing the death toll to 11.
According to the police, the latest incident took place in Gulshan e Iqbal Block 7 where four armed men opened fire at a car, killing a lawyer Syed Waqar Shah. Earlier, unknown gunmen opened fire on a hotel in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, killing three students.          AGENCIES
