DOHA: Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Mohammed Jabor Al Thani, Managing Director of Alkhaleej Takaful Group disclosed that the company successfully bid for a five-year contract with the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) as a third party administrator to the National Health Insurance Company, which is solely owned by the State.
The company has also contracted Aetna and Globemed who are considered among the most internationally recognised companies for their professionalism in the field of medical insurance and third party administration.
The Medical Law, which was issued by the Emir is considered a turning point in the development of the medical field, and an advancement in the field with the private sector, the Group said in a Qatar Exchange filing yesterday.
The successful bid reflects the importance of the company’s financial status and its experience in the insurance field, Sheikh Saud added.
