KHARTOUM: Sudan's protest and opposition alliance said it is suspending a campaign of civil disobedience and a general strike from Wednesday until further notice.
The strike had brought much activity in the capital Khartoum to a standstill as the Declaration of Freedom and Change Forces (DFCF) alliance tried to pressure Sudan's ruling military council to relinquish power. (Reporting by Khalid Abdelaziz Writing by Aidan Lewis Editing by Frances Kerry)
