Doha, Qatar: Doha Municipality, represented by its Innovation and Development Unit, participated in the first in a series of e-workshops organised by the Unesco Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL). The workshop, titled “Education for Sustainable Development in Learning Cities,” was held as part of Doha’s membership in the Global Network of Learning Cities and its commitment to promoting sustainability and building institutional capacities.
The workshop saw broad participation from representatives of governmental and community institutions from various countries worldwide. Its aim was to enable participants to apply the principles of sustainability, with a particular focus on adapting to climate change.
This participation marks a significant step in Doha Municipality’s efforts to keep pace with global best practices in sustainable development. It also represents the beginning of a series of future participations in specialised development programs, all aimed at integrating sustainability concepts into various municipal activities, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030.
