30 shops gutted in oil market

Islamabad: An oil market in Faisalabad in eastern Pakistan caught fire last morning, engulfing more than 30 shops. Rescue sources said the incident took place when a fire broke out in a godown of the oil market located in Karkhana Bazar, blowing up drums of oil, which created panic in the area.

ISLAMABAD: Forty-nine candidates have filed nomination papers for the by-poll in NA-48 Islamabad. The candidates who filed their nominations with returning officer Shahrukh Arjumand included 25 from PML-N, four from Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf and one each from the Pakistan People’s Party, Jamaat-i-Islami, JUI (F), PPP (Shaheed Bhutto), Pakistan Justice Party, Pakistan Freedom Party and Jamaat Al Kalam.
