SEOUL: South Korea's Daelim Industrial Co. said Thursday that it and its unit in Saudi Arabia have won a $825 million order to build a petrochemical plant in the kingdom.
The plant will be able to produce 3,300 tons of ammonia per day for Saudi Arabian Mining Co., the state-controlled firm known as Maaden, according to the builder.
The plant is to be located in Ras Al-Khair, about 80 kilometers north of Jubail Industrial City, and is set to be completed by September 2016.
Daelim Industrial said its stake in the project is worth $614.7 million while its unit in Saudi Arabia holds the rest. (QNA)
