Doha, Qatar: Viral video footage caused an uproar on social media as it captured a nursery worker in Lebanon physically harming children under its care.

The video, which has been circulating on social media, showed a woman physically assaulting and force-feeding children, while another staff is seen laughing amidst the incident.

According to the Lebanese news website 'Al-Nahar', the woman can be clearly seen hitting and force-feeding a child, who is less than a year old. She was also shown striking and forcibly feeding a large piece of food to another young girl, posing as a choking hazard.

The video has sparked outrage among the Lebanese public, with demands for the harshest possible penalties against the nursery owner and the staff members involved.

The video of the incident was recorded by a janitor who works for the Gardereve nursery in the Matn area in Lebanon and handed it over to the children's parents. The parents subsequently withdrew their children from the nursery and filed a complaint.

In a separate report from the Lebanese news website 'Lebanon Debate', following the video's circulation, some of the parents of the children shown in the footage confronted the assailant in her residence.

Authorities recently sealed off the nursery and the suspects were referred for investigation.
