Doha, Qatar: Under the patronage of Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, H E Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanim and in the presence of Assistant Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs, Khalid bin Shaheen Al Ghanem, along with a group of ministry officials, department directors, and heads of divisions, the Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center held the closing ceremony of the Arabic language teaching skills development course for fourteen Arabic language teachers from religious schools in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia.
The ceremony began with a melodious recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by a teacher from the Republic of Tatarstan – Russia, followed by a speech delivered on behalf of the Center’s Director by Sultan bin Saad Al Badr, Assistant Director of the Center. He expressed gratitude to the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, for his generous patronage of the course, which included various components such as enhancing the teachers’ Arabic language skills, promoting concepts of moderation and civilized interaction, as well as enriching cultural communication with Qatar by introducing them to its landmarks and allowing them to attend scholarly gatherings.
The ceremony also featured a video presentation showcasing the content of the comprehensive programme offered to the teachers during the course. Dr. Saleh bin Ali Al Marri noted that the success of the course was due to the grace of Allah and the support of the Minister, who provided all the necessary facilities to ensure its success.
The course fostered civilizational interaction, cultural exchange, service to the Arabic language, and the promotion of its global status — aligning with the vision of the Ministry within the framework of Qatar National Vision 2030 and reinforcing Qatar’s pioneering and civilizational role.
At the end of the ceremony, the Assistant Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs honoured the participants by awarding them certificates and commemorative gifts
