Doha, Qatar: Reyada Medical Centre has successfully achieved reaccreditation from Joint Commission International (JCI), one of the world’s leading healthcare accreditation bodies, reaffirming its continued commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, and patient-centred healthcare services in line with globally recognised standards.
The JCI reaccreditation represents a significant milestone in Reyada Medical Centre’s ongoing journey of quality improvement and reflects the organisation’s sustained efforts in maintaining excellence in clinical care, patient safety, and healthcare operations.
Recognised as a global benchmark for healthcare quality, JCI accreditation evaluates healthcare organisations against rigorous standards related to patient care, safety practices, clinical processes, governance, and operational effectiveness. The reaccreditation follows a comprehensive assessment conducted by an international team of JCI surveyors, who evaluated Reyada Medical Centre’s continued compliance across all the areas including patient assessment and care, medication management, infection prevention and control, quality improvement, patient safety, leadership and governance, training and academics, facility management, information management systems and medical record system, etc.
Having achieved its first JCI accreditation on May 25, 2023, within one year of commencing operations, Reyada Medical Centre has continued to uphold and strengthen the quality standards established from the beginning. The successful reaccreditation marks another significant milestone in the centre’s journey, reflecting three years of sustained efforts in maintaining international benchmarks for patient safety, clinical excellence, and quality healthcare delivery.
Commenting on the achievement, Managing Director & CEO of Reyada Healthcare, Jamsheer Hamza said, “JCI reaccreditation is a testament to the dedication and collective efforts of our entire team in consistently upholding international standards of healthcare delivery. This recognition reflects the strong systems, processes, and culture of quality that have been developed across Reyada Medical Centre. We remain committed to continuously enhancing our services and ensuring that our patients receive safe, accessible, and reliable healthcare.”
Executive Director of Reyada Healthcare, Dr. Abdul Kalam, added, “Maintaining JCI reaccreditation reflects our ongoing focus on patient safety, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement. The reaccreditation reflects Reyada Medical Centre’s continued efforts in enhancing healthcare processes, strengthening quality improvement initiatives, developing its workforce, and implementing practices that are aligned with international standards. Through collaboration among doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and support teams, the centre continues to foster an environment focused on safety, efficiency, and positive patient experiences.
The rigorous JCI evaluation process assessed the centre’s adherence to internationally recognized healthcare standards and acknowledged its efforts in maintaining robust quality improvement initiatives, effective risk management practices, and a strong culture of patient-centred care.
