DOHA: Blue Salon, one of Qatar’s leading stores specialising in exclusive retail luxury goods and famous fashion brands, celebrated the launch of Montaha Couture, Kuwait-based fashion house’s, latest Eid collection at a trunk show that was attended by society’s elites and fashion enthusiasts.
Montaha Al Ajeel, the acclaimed designer at the helm of the fashion house, was in attendance to present the collection and to elaborate on what inspired her to create the collection.
“The collection was inspired by my optimistic character, and the positive attitude that I apply to all aspects of my life,” said Al Ajeel.
“The creative process for me is always dictated by the fabric that I choose for the collection. The fabric truly motivates me to create beautiful pieces that celebrate the richness of the materials.”
The collection ranges from couture evening and cocktail dresses that aim to celebrate the female figure, to statement ‘ready to wear’ pieces that are rich in feminine, floral embellishments, luxurious lace and intricate details, that truly reflected the fashion house’s flair for the extravagant.
“My aim in designing is to celebrate the female figure, and I carefully create silhouettes that tend to flatter, embrace and celebrate the diverse shapes that our clients come in,” said Al Ajeel.
The Kuwaiti fashion designer has recently received the prestigious businesswoman in the Middle East “GR8” award for her contributions to Fashion and Design.
The Fashion house has showcased it’s collections at New York Fashion Week, Dubai Fashion Week, and has plans to debut a collection at Paris Fashion Week in the near future.
