Doha: The cabinet has voiced strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli escalation at Al Aqsa Mosque. The weekly regular meeting held at the Emiri Diwan under the Prime Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani, also denounced Israel’s ongoing settlement policy, its plots to judiaise Al Quds and its constant attacks against the besieged Gaza Strip.

“The matter will further increase tension in the region and undermine its stability and security. It is high time for launching a serious, firm and swift international movement to halt such Israeli practices and violations,’’ said the cabinet in a statement.

The cabinet welcomed the declaration of the Philippine government on reaching an accord with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front for settling the long- decades of conflict in south of the country which left thousands of victims. The cabinet lauded the wisdom and courage of both parties and the strenuous efforts exerted by the Malaysian government and the international contact group members in the peace negotiations. It expressed hope for completing the peace process and bringing about security and stability in the Philippines.
