ISLAMABAD: Some unidentified gunmen Thursday morning kidnapped a senior Pakistani intelligence officer from the outskirts of capital city while his guard was killed upon resistance, local media reported.
The assailants intercepted the officer's car at Sihala town on the outskirts of Islamabad, according to Pakistan's news outlet, Zee News, and took him away to an unknown location.
The officer is an ex-Brigadier of the Pakistan Army who was serving in a senior position in an intelligence agency on a contract, Pakistan's Geo news said.
So far no group has claimed responsibility for the kidnap while police investigations are underway. (QNA)
