Doha: Qatar’s Haj mission returned home last night after supervising pilgrims during rituals for this year.
Ali Al Faihani, Head of the mission, said this year’s Haj season was a success by all standards “thanks to cooperation of all concerned sides,” which were keen to put all facilities at pilgrims’ disposal.
Speaking to journalists accompanying the mission, he said the Ministry of Endowments’ campaign ahead of the Haj season succeeded in conveying its message to pilgrims, which in turn, reflected on the smoothness of the whole experience. “Pilgrims from Qatar had a great deal of awareness and understanding” of the religious, health and regulatory aspects of Haj, which made the season successful on all levels, he added.
He praised the role of the Qatari pilgrims’ service centre at the mission’s headquarters, saying it had acted as a link between pilgrims and Haj contractors on one hand and the mission on the other. QNA
