ISTANBUL: Turkey will invest $300 million with Royal Dutch Shell to explore for natural gas and oil after discoveries were made in the Romanian basin, Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said on Thursday.
Exploration work will begin in January, Yildiz told reporters at an energy conference.
Yildiz also said that a planned Russian gas pipeline does not necessarily mean Turkey will buy more supplies and that oil refiner Tupras is buying shipments of Iraqi crude. (Reuters)
