Israeli forces arrested 490 Palestinians in November: Rights institutions

Ramallah: Palestine's Prisoners Affairs Authority along with Palestinian human rights organizations reported that the Israeli occupation forces have arrested 490 Palestinians last November, of whom 76 children and 12 women.

These institutions said, in a report today, that the arrests took place in the city of Hebron in the occupied West Bank constituted the highest percentage during the month of November, followed by Jerusalem, Ramallah, Jenin, and Nablus.

The report stated that the number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in the Israeli prisons has reached 4,700, as of the end of November, including 34 female prisoners, 150 minors, and 835 administrative detainees.

The Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Authority pointed out that the occupation forces use several methods to abuse Palestinian detainees, including severe beatings and the use of sniffer dogs.

During the past few months, Israeli occupation forces intensified arrest campaigns in the Occupied West Bank.
