DOHA: Qatari women read more than men, a survey conducted by the Cultural Creativity Center has found.
The findings, released coinciding with the 25th Qatar International Book Fair, also showed Qataris prefer non-fiction books.
About 1,035 people in different age groups and educational qualifications from government institutions and schools were surveyed.
The study also found people having preparatory certificates and those above 60 also read more.
The survey was conducted for five months by Professor Rima Mohamed Muhsain, who is a Teaching Assistant, College of Education, Qatar University.
