Doha: Under the auspices of the Minister of State for Interior Affairs H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani and in the presence of the Director General of Public Security Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi, the Ministry of Interior celebrated the Arab Police Day yesterday at Doha Sheraton. The ceremony commemorated the first meeting of Arab police and security chiefs at Al Ain in the UAE in 1972.
Directors of various departments of the MoI, long-time personnel from the police force, police reserve force members, top scorers in examinations at police colleges and institutions, citizens and expatriates were honoured for cooperation.
Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim said: “Today, I am delighted to congratulate you on the occasion of Arab Police Day and I pray Almighty Allah to bless our country with constant security and peace, stability and development under the wise leadership of HH the Emir and HH the Heir Apparent.”
He emphasised the keenness of the ministry on exerting more efforts in the service of the country and more comprehensive security services in coordination with concerned agencies maintaining security.
