Doha: Dar Al Sharq celebrated National Sport Day on Thursday by organising a series of events for employees at Al Ahli Club.
Abdulatif Al Mahmoud, Chief Executive Officer for Administrative Affairs, Khalid Al Sayed, Editor-in-Chief of The Peninsula, Ibrahim Al Sayed, Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Administrative Affairs, were present to encourage participants.
Celebrations started with football matches between different departments.
The final of football was played between Al Sharq editorial and the administration departments.
Both teams made their best efforts but Al Sharq editorial team showed greater coordination and won the final by scoring the only goal in the match.
The final volleyball match was played between the ‘Earth’ and the ‘Others’. In the high energy match, ‘Earth’ defeated ‘Others’ 15-10. It was followed by a tug-of-war in which participants tested their strength. Team Ali defeated the team from the Administration Department. the peninsula
