The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani with President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr Fuad Masum, at the Emiri Diwan yesterday. Talks dealt with bilateral relations and ways to boost them. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Emir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani.
Doha: Iraqi President Dr Fuad Masum has praised his meeting with Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and said it was cordial and frank and addressed all questions and issues that concern both countries.
During a meeting with local and foreign media, Dr Masum stressed that joint committees between both countries would be activated and formed in other areas to push forward both countries’ interests.

H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah will visit Iraq soon.
Dr Masum said his visit represents the beginning of the return of Iraqi-Qatari ties to normal. He said he looks forward that Iraq’s ties with Gulf countries and the region would be distinguished based on mutual understanding and common interests.
