DOHA: The supervisory panel for the Central Municipal Council (CMC) due this May has displayed tentative constituency-wise voter lists in all 29 constituencies and urged voters to check their names and suggest amendments, if any.
Committees headed by court judges in each constituency will look into appeals and grievances conveyed by voters whose names appear in the lists, QNA reports.
The last date for filing grievances and appeals is February 17. The final list will be announced on March 3 after which the next phase of the poll will begin.
The supervisory committee announced tentative voter lists for all constituencies after February 5 (the voters totalled over 23,000) when week-long deletion and addition of names had ended.
The CMC will be elected for a fifth term of four-year tenure. It was first elected in early 1999.
