Doha: The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud yesterday met Mohamed bin Chambas, Joint Special Representative of the African Union and United Nations in Darfur and Joint Chief Mediator for Darfur, and his delegation and discussed latest developments in the peace process.
Chambas briefed Al Mahmoud on the outcome of meetings in Addis Ababa where all parties welcomed the initiative proposed by Sudanese President Omar Hassan Ahmed Al Basher for national dialogue.
Al Mahmoud and Chambas called on non-signatories movements to join the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur and participate in the dialogue. QNA
