Riyadh: GCC Secretary-General Abdullatif Al Zayani has denounced recent terror allegations by Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki against Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
He described, in a press statement, the Iraqi official’s allegations against both Gulf nations as aggressive and baseless, expressing dismay that the were made by the prime minister of a “brotherly country” which is appreciated and respected by the GCC countries.
“The GCC countries were in the forefront of those countries which suffered, and were affected, from criminal terrorist acts. They have exerted, and are even still exerting, great efforts on all levels to fight and eradicate terrorism. Such efforts are recognized and appreciated by all world countries and Iraq’s unbiased parties.”QNA
