Screening of German films begins

DOHA: Doha Film Institute (DFI) has opened Perspektive Kino, a series of German film screenings.
The opening event featured Barbara (Germany, 2012) by Christian Petzold, winner of the Silver Bear for Best Director at the 2012 Berlinale. 
The event at Katara Drama Theatre on Thursday was attended by German Ambassador Angelika Storz-Chakarji, Austrian Chargé d’Affaires Sieglinde Fedele di Catrano, Swiss Chargé d’Affaires Urs Schnider and Fatma Al Remaihi, Director of Ajyal Youth Film Festival and Programmes at DFI.
Austrian-German film The Wall (2011) by Julian Pölsler, was screened yesterday. 
The Beekeeper (2013) by Mano Khalil and The Little Ghost (2013), a family-oriented film by Alain Gsponer will be shown tonight.
The screening of The Little Ghost will feature a special Q&A with Director Alain Gsponer today at 4pm at the theatre.
Perspektive Kino is being held in partnership with the Austrian, German and Swiss embassies. The Peninsula
