Doha: Commercialbank (Cb), one of the leading full service banks in Qatar, recently hosted a recruitment week at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Doha. The event aimed to select the next intake of Qataris to join the bank’s career development programme and saw the bank’s management and team leaders conducting interviews and assessments of a selection of hand-picked candidates that were identified at the recent Qatar Career Fair 2013. The bank has released 97 offer letters to the selected candidates.

In 2013, Cb initiated an ambitious plan which aims to enhance the number of Qatari employees across a range of departments in the bank.

Abdulla Saleh Al Raisi, Deputy CEO, said: “This recruitment event is a springboard to our career development programme. The programme attracts young, talented graduates and undergraduates who we guide and train to become the next generation of highly skilled banking leaders in Qatar. Our programme aims to contribute towards the creation of a dynamic future workforce of Qatari nationals, supporting the human development pillar of the Qatar Vision 2030.”

Cb has a unique career development training programme that gives exposure to a wide range of disciplines that create a well-rounded banking professional. The aim is to create the next generation of Qatari bankers that are best placed to provide Commercial Bank’s customers with the highest quality expertise, professionalism and services.
