Doha: The Gulf Organisation for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) will present training and technical support programmes at the 11th International Construction Technology and Building Materials Exhibition ‘Project Qatar 2014’ which opens today at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).
“GOIC’s continuous participation highlights its keenness to contribute to the construction boom in the GCC and Yemen, particularly in Qatar.
In this regard, GOIC, a renowned expertise hub in the region, seeks to offer services through specialised programmes, research, consulting and technical services to the public and private sectors in the GCC and Yemen,” said Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al Ageel, Secretary General, GOIC.
Visitors will be shown how to subscribe to the Industrial Market Intelligence Portal (IMI Plus) and use its services.
IMI Plus is the first and only portal publishing accurate, updated and accredited industrial and socio-economic data from seven countries.
It includes the Gulf Industries Database with vital information on more than 15000 factories operating in the region and more than 8,000 in the process of registration and certifying.
The Foreign Trade Database contains detailed statistics about imports, exports and re-exported goods for the Gulf and every country in the form of timelinnes.
The Socio-economic Database includes more than 400 socio-economic and demographic indicators about the Gulf.
GOIC uses the portal to provide information to subscribers over the Internet; it helps clients take key business decisions based on accurate, updated and accredited data.
It allows them to target new clients and markets to sell their products and services.
It helps identify promising investment opportunities in the region, facilitates reaching adequate service providers and assist in determining required expertise and technology providers to foster business operations.
GOIC’s display stand H205 in Hall 7 will allow visitors to get to know its Training and Capacity Development Programme. It is developed to enhance individual and organisational capacities of the industrial sector in the GCC and Yemen.
GOIC will provide visitors with information about the Industrial Technical Assistance Programme to help GCC industrial facilities accurately assess and achieve surpluses via energy efficiency, improving productivity and reducing industrial violations and environmental impact. GOIC will also introduce the Gulf Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange Programme to visitors, particularly contractors.
