Doha, Qatar: Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) has received a donation from Al Takaful General in support of the Society’s awareness programs and initiatives to promote cancer prevention, early detection, and public health awareness within the community.
The donation was presented during an official visit by a delegation from Al Takaful General to QCS headquarters, where Chairman of Qatar Cancer Society, Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Jabor Al Thani received the donation from Chairman of Al Takaful General, Jassim bin Mohammed Al Kuwari and General Manager, Faraj Al Omari.
During the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships between healthcare institutions and the private sector to support humanitarian and awareness initiatives that improve public health and enhance quality of life.
Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Jabor Al Thani expressed his appreciation for the support, emphasizing that contributions from national institutions play a vital role in sustaining the Society’s humanitarian mission and expanding its awareness and support programs for patients and the wider community.
He also noted that cooperation with private sector institutions reflects a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility and supports efforts to build a healthier and more aware society.
The visit included a tour of the Society’s facilities, during which the delegation was introduced to QCS activities, programs, and the services provided by its Cancer Awareness Center in the fields of education, prevention, and early detection.
The meeting also highlighted the Society’s ongoing efforts in cancer awareness, prevention, and psychosocial support for individuals living with cancer, in addition to its national initiatives aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and reducing cancer risk factors, in line with its vision of creating “A Cancer-Aware Community and Better Life for Patients.
