Doha, Qatar: The Simaisma and Al Daayen Youth Centre, in cooperation with Wjdan Cultural Centre, Barzan Youth Centre, Jumailiyah Youth Centre and Simaisma Girls Forum organized a workshop on promoting common societal values of GCC countries.
With the participation of about 30 youngsters from different GCC countries, the workshop tackled a number of important axes aimed at encouraging young people to contribute to building the future of their societies, achieving sustainable development in the Gulf region, and promoting societal values.
Cheif of the Simaisma and Al Daayen Youth Centre Nawaf Al Mudhahka, stressed that the Gulf Youth Day is an opportunity to strengthen Gulf ties and the national identity of youth, highlight the fruitful efforts of Gulf youth, strengthen bonds, and exchange different expertise and experiences among them, pointing to the importance of integrating roles and strengthening national youth identity in line with the objectives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf decided that the sixth of June of each year will be an annual day for the Gulf youth, and an occasion for the GCC countries to celebrate the youth.
