Doha: There is high demand for technical services in the printing industry in Qatar, a senior official from Xerox says.
Qatar is considered one of the most dynamic markets in the region, where Xerox is keen to expand its business, John Paul Teti, Xerox Middle East and Africa’s Production Technology Director, told Al Sharq recently.
“Our company is committed to expanding business in Qatar. We continuously try to help our agents improve their performance in relation to documentation in the country,” Teti said.
Xerox is a multinational document management corporation that deals in a range of colour and black-and-white printers, photocopiers, digital production printing presses and related consulting services and supplies.
Although stationery shops across the country provide printing facilities for the vast majority of people, Xerox has managed to create a name for its brand in printing facilities in Qatar in recent years.
Speaking about expansion plans, Teti said that the company aimed to target Managed Print Services (MPS), which involves managing hard copy devices such as copiers, printers, fax machines and multifunction devices.
“Through our current agents, with whom we are currently working on short-term basis, we wish to expand our activity in different parts of Qatar. We have particularly planned to expand our business in printing services MPS, which is a leading trend in the printing industry,” Teti said.
He said that there was huge demand for services provided by Xerox here.
“We consider our presence in this country to be very strong and the trademark is highly respected as we see positive feedback from our agents who always appreciate our role.” Within the Mena region, an encouraging trend was seen from organisations that were quick to adapt to new technologies in business. Qatar, in particular, has emerged as one of the keenest countries on the technological front. “Qatari market is one of the most developed and dynamic, where quality and technical services in business are highly in demand,” Teti said.
Xerox is most popular among students in Qatar, who have to often submit assignments in colour. “Although the prices at Xerox are higher than a regular stationery shop in Qatar, their print services are much better than any other printing facility,” said a student. The Peninsula
