The atmosphere was jovial at a number of institutions that organised activities yesterday to celebrate the traditional Garangao night for children, ahead of the actual celebration tonight, the 14th of Ramadan.
On Thursday night, Qatar Foundation held a host of activities at the Al Shaqab indoor arena, where hundreds of children and families enjoyed traditional games, pony rides, henna application and other activities apart from traditional Garangao songs. Aspire and National Museum of Qatar also hosted activities aimed at preserving this Qatari tradition. Tonight, Katara Cultural Village Foundation will host this year’s biggest Garangao event.
