Oman summons Iranian Ambassador, lodges protest over drone attacks

Muscat: Oman's Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Iranian Ambassador to Muscat Mousa Farhang on Sunday and handed him a note of protest over drone attacks that targeted sites in the governorates of Musandam and Al Wusta.

According to Oman News Agency (ONA), Sheikh Khalid bin Hashel Al Musalhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Administrative and Financial Affairs, received the Iranian ambassador and handed him the note of protest, expressing Oman's deep dissatisfaction with these irresponsible acts.

During the meeting, the Omani official underscored the importance of respecting state sovereignty, upholding the principles of good-neighborliness, refraining from interference in the internal affairs of other countries, and adhering to the established norms and moral values that bind the two neighboring countries and their peoples.
