DOHA: Qatar is participating in the GCC Poetry Forum, hosted by the Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information in cooperation with Taif Cultural Club.
Faleh Al Ajlan Al Hajri, Director of Culture, the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage, said the four-day forum, which began in Taif city yesterday, is part of continued cooperation and exchange of cultural experiences and expertise between GCC countries, especially in poetry domain. Qatar is represented in the forum by poets Mohammed Al Sada and Radhi Mohammed Al Hajri, he added.
Al Hajri said the forum is part of implementation of a GCC cultural strategy which aims to promote inter-cultural work and enhance communication among GCC intellectuals and artists.
