DOHA: The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has urged all Haj pilgrims to visit their respective health centres next week for vaccination.
“Immunizations and vaccines protect the community from serious diseases and also prevent the spread of those diseases. The risk of communicable and infectious diseases that can be spread by being in close proximity to other people is increased when there are large masses of people,” PHCC said in a statement.
Pilgrims must carry vaccination cards for proof that they have been vaccinated when arriving at the Saudi border. The pilgrims should get vaccinated two weeks before travelling to Makkah.
