Doha: The Qatar Scientific Club is organising a contest to award those who can throw an egg from the height of seven metres without breaking it. The event will be held on November 23. The club will award QR3,000 and QR2,000 for the first and second place winners, while QR1,000 will be awarded to all those who build a device that can toss an egg without breaking it. Many other prizes will also be presented to those who voice scientific opinions on different topics. The contest will be conducted in family gatherings in Mesaimeer and is sponsored by many companies, Al Sharq reported yesterday. It aims at encouraging creativity among youngsters.
