NEW DELHI: Four earthquakes shook homes in the Indian capital, Delhi in the wee hours of Tuesday, sending people running into the streets.
The first tremor measuring 3.1 on Richter scale struck at 12.41 am as most of the inhabitants of Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon were asleep.
The second one of 3.3 magnitude came exactly an hour later at 1.41 am.
The third measuring 2.5 followed 14 minutes later at 1.55 am.
The last one of 2.8 magnitude struck after nearly two hours at 3.40 am.
No damage or casualties have been reported in Delhi or the suburbs.
Delhi is close to several fault lines and held a major earthquake drill last year. (QNA)
