Doha: The Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage H E Dr Hamad bin Abdul Aziz Al Kuwari has  reaffirmed Qatar’s care  and continued efforts for rendering services for hearing-impaired persons, securing their rights and working to rehabilitate them practically, culturally, socially and psychologically so as to provide them with decent living and find them employment opportunities suitable for their capacities and potential.

Addressing the opening session of the three-day first international forum for the deaf Muslims, organised by Qatar Cultural and Social Centre for the Deaf in cooperation with the Global Deaf Muslim (GDM) and with the participation of more than 700 people representing 48 countries,  Dr Al Kuwari said  the forum was held for the first time in Qatar to reflect the state’s concern for achieving human development in implementation  of the National Development Strategy 2030.
